The 2nd Langkawi Beach Run will feature distances of
21km, 10km and 3km. The run is open to local
residents as well as all visitors to Langkawi. Making
its mark within the island's calendar of events, the
run gives support and promotes the Langkawi islands as
a world class holiday destination. A wider range of
prizes, including cash totalling RM30,000 up for
grabs.
The event is
divided into four categories comprising the Men &
Women International 21km, Men & Women Malaysia Open
21km, Men & Women Veteran 21km, and the Men &
Women Junior 10km.

Registration fees for all
categories to can be viewed in the entry form.
Marshalls
The organisers have appointed 25
highly-experienced Marshalls, who are also endorsed and certified by the
Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Directional Signs
Highly-visible directional signs
will be positioned at each kilometre of the route to aid runners.
Medical & First Aid Support
Teams from
the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) and ambulances will be on standby at
various points along with other support groups, including the JPA3, and RELA.
Refreshment & Rehydration Points
The organisers will set-up
Refreshment & Rehydration Points along the route of the race. These will
comprise tubs of water for cooling-off and bottled drinking water.
